As account manager at Walker Marketing, Christina Helms develops and manages public relations programs for clients representing a wide array of industries. From architecture and construction to food science and consumer beverages, she gets to know clients' industries and their customers’ motivations in order to design communications geared to deliver business results through strategic planning and execution.
"Understanding your client’s business and building solid relationships with their key audiences - whether it's the media covering their industry, employees, shareholders, or customers - is the foundation upon which success is built. Good relationships coupled with effective communication and planning must be a priority for any public relations program to meet with success."
With more than nine years of agency experience, Christina has spearheaded internal communications activities for several national companies, including a Fortune 500 company, and has built public awareness of all the clients she has served by practicing sound media and community relations. She has represented clients in manufacturing, telecommunications, health care, banking, and the performing arts sectors.
Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in communication studies and journalism from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She serves on the board of directors for the Carolinas' Chapter of the Business Marketing Association and is a member of the Carolinas Health Care Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS) and the Charlotte Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
